The National Trust is the UK’s largest conservation charity and a statutory corporation dedicated to preserving historic places, landscapes, and natural beauty across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. It protects hundreds of heritage sites and millions of acres of countryside "for ever, for everyone".
In Spring 2026, Wild Rumpus CIC and the National Trust commissioned us to provide video coverage for Let Hope Blossom, a nationwide public art and community engagement project celebrating hope, renewal and connection through the arrival of blossom season. The commission involved filming three large-scale public events across Manchester, London and Sunderland, capturing the unique atmosphere and public participation at each location.
The first event took place in Manchester, where the Pavilion of Hope transformed the city centre into a vibrant, interactive space filled with storytelling, live performances and community contributions. Throughout the day, we documented a programme of speakers, authors and musicians also capturing candid moments of participation and public interactions with the project's playful Blossom characters.
Following Manchester, we continued production at Morden Hall in London and Sunderland City Centre, documenting how the installation evolved across different locations while maintaining its core message of optimism, creativity and shared experience. At the heart of Let Hope Blossom was a collective soundscape built from voice notes of hope gathered from visitors and participants across the UK. The resulting footage provides Wild Rumpus and the National Trust with a valuable archive of the project, highlighting the impact of bringing communities together through imaginative public art and live experiences.
